Dr. Khanh Nguyen, or Dr. Khanh (pronounced “Ken”), began her veterinary career in 2018 as a veterinary assistant while completing her biology degree at George Mason University. She earned her doctorate through Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in St. Kitts and completed her clinical year at North Carolina State University. During her training, Dr. Khanh externed in a busy veterinary emergency hospital, gaining valuable experience in critical care. Dr. Khanh is fear-free certified and passionate about integrative medicine, including acupuncture and complementary therapies. She takes the time to understand each pet’s unique needs and develops personalized treatment plans that support both physical health and emotional wellbeing. Her focus is on helping pets feel at ease and promoting positive experiences for both pets and their families. While in veterinary school, Dr. Khanh adopted her two cats, Umi and Miyo, who now share her home with her corgi, Ducky. Dr. Khanh is fluent in English and Vietnamese. Outside the hospital, she enjoys going to the gym, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
